New York City is located on the coast of the Northeastern United States at the mouth of the Hudson River in southeastern New York state. It is composed of five boroughs: the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. New York has a humid continental climate, with moderate snowfall in winter.

New York draws millions of tourists each year. Some of New York's statues, buildings and streets have become symbols all over the country such as the Empire State Building, Wall Street, the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, the Fifth Avenue, Madison Avenue and so on. The city also has many beautiful bridges including the George Washington Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Henry Hudson Bridge, Triborough Bridge, the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge and the Throgs Neck Bridge. Other tourist attractions are Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum, the Bronx Zoo, New York Botanical Garden, Manhattan's Central Park, Prospect Park, and Flushing Meadows Park.
