Suzhou is one of Jiangsu Province's leading cities. Its natural beauty, as well as its cultural heritage make this city one of the most popular tourist destinations in China. Suzhou borders Shanghai on the east, Zhejiang Province in the west, the Yangtze River in the north, and is situated in the lower reaches of Taihu Lake.
Some mountains in Suzhou include Mt. Lingyan, Mt. Tianping, Mt. Yushan, and of course, the famous Tiger Hill. Tiger Hill (also known as "Surging Sea Hill" or "Surging Sea Peak") is considered a place that absolutely must not be missed if travelling through Suzhou. The famous 36-meter high, 630-meter perimeter-wide Tiger Hill was formed about 150 million years ago and its history is believed to be deeply entwined with Suzhou's 2,500 yearsr old history.
