About 50 km north of Johannesburg, Pretoria is a city in the
northern part of Gauteng Province. Pretoria is also one of three national capitals along with Cape Town and Bloemfontein Cities. Well-known as the Jacaranda City, Pretoria is a beautiful, dynamic city for its enthralling gardens and old building. The city has a population of more than 1.2 million.
Pretoria has a Mediterranean climate with dry summer, cool winter.

Pretoria Botanical Gardens collects indigenous plants from all over South Africa. Other main attractions include Wonderboom Nature Reserve, Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary, Union Buildings and Cullinan Mine. |
