Situated in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, Guilin is known for its beautiful karst scenery and landscapes. Its name means "forest of Sweet Osmanthus", due to the large number of fragrant Sweet Osmanthus trees covered in the city. The city of Guilin has a damp monsoon climate.
