Katheriine is situated in the Northern Territory of Australia. It's about 320 km to the southeast of Darwin. Katherine gain its name from the river that had the same name. Katherine has a population of about 8, 000. Katherine district is very vast covering around 400,000 square kilometers which is almost two times the size of Victoria.
